Is this a paintover on a render or is it painted from scratch. Looks very interesting. Would like to see much more sharpness and detail.

Hehe! It's a simple median filter on a fully detailed render ;) But It's way faster like this ounce the model is done.

Model is "finished" since at least 3 years ^^. Nope, I did do this filter because I wanted a painted feel (love paint feel), and I don't have enough time or skill to paint something with such correct light and pers infos. ^^ Also, avoiding details helps me take few steps back from an image to re-imagine a model I'd like to upgrade. It's kind of like the tecnic of the closed eyes to half (sorry for bad translation).

Ah, I can understand that. Though for me it's much more interesting to see a full detail render than a blurred down version of it.

Ah, sweet! I browsed through your stuff. Must say I'm impressed.

I'd like to do more mechas but they take time and I need to put all my effort on characters for my portfolio. Got a robot design going on though. :P
